Have you ever wondered how Mofreita’s projects abroad are developed? To truly understand the partnerships established between the brand and international designers, we spoke with someone who has experienced it firsthand for nearly 15 years.
In a conversation with French interior designer Yannick Lassalle, with whom Mofreita collaborated on its very first international project, we sought to understand how this long-lasting relationship was born and how it has evolved, grounded in trust and a shared vision of quality.
From intuition to trust: how the relationship evolved?
The relationship between Mofreita and Yannick Lassalle is a clear example of how trust, rigor and a shared vision can transform an initial contact into a long-term collaboration.
It all began in 2011, through a mutual connection. At the time, Mofreita was taking its first steps in the French market, and the interior designer decided to test the collaboration with a personal project. “I entrusted them with a personal project, without pressure, just to learn how to work together”, she explains.
The challenge involved developing bespoke carpentry for different areas of the home – kitchen, bathroom and dressing – in a fully integrated process, carried out from start to finish by the Mofreita team.
The result was immediate. Faced with the final outcome, the designer quickly realized she had found “a precise and responsive family structure” that proved to be “the right choice.”
More than technical execution, it was the way of working that made the difference: proximity, responsiveness and a constant level of rigor, even when facing the inevitable challenges of any project. “On site, obstacles are inevitable, but their response is always the same: to find solutions without ever lowering their standards”.
Today, nearly 15 years later, this collaboration has evolved into a strong and ongoing relationship that goes far beyond the traditional concept of a professional partnership. For Yannick, Mofreita “is much more than a partner: it is a relationship of trust with the entire family.”
Over the years, several projects have been developed together, where the quality of the wood, the origin of the raw materials, and the precision and attention to detail of the craftsmen align with the designer’s unique aesthetic vision, resulting in balanced, timeless and truly distinctive spaces.
And even after so many years, one thing remains unchanged: the shared enthusiasm whenever their paths cross again, and a new “blank canvas” is presented, ready to be shaped together.
